Hello again, I'm Mel and I come from and art and design background both formally and informally. I have been crafting with different materials and mediums since childhood, firstly shepherded by my Nan who was an experienced hat decorator and finisher in Luton during the 50's and 60's. I have been on a very long and eclectic creative journey since then, now making gemstone jewellery in my Bristol workshop. My late Mum, Jenny was a talented costume jewellery maker for many years and Catpurr Jewellery is inspired by her and her great love of Cats, Cornwall, Crystals and all things shiny.
